Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results; Rice County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained as needed to answer it. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
A page request can automatically provide the servers with technical visit details, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view

No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell databases of court dockets or personal case-record information. We publish general guidance about where Rice County court dockets and records are held and how to request them from the clerk of court, the trial courts that hold dockets, and the statewide case-search system. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or records about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are powered by outside companies. Anything you enter into those tools is processed under the partner's own privacy policy, not this one. Those partners set their own data-retention and sharing practices, and we do not control them. Review the partner's policy before submitting a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Kansas court portals, clerk pages, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, that provider controls the page and its own privacy terms apply. Review those terms before submitting personal information.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.

We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:

Kansas law, including the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 et seq., governs access to public records but does not turn this private site into a public-record custodian. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
